Rumours about Huawei releasing a smartwatch with blood pressure monitoring capabilities have been circulating for a while, in part aided by certifications published by European and Chinese regulatory bodies. According to a prominent leaker on Weibo, the wait is almost over for said smartwatch, which they have tipped to launch this month.
Unfortunately, the leaker does not provide concrete information about the device's release, such as a date or a marketing name. Presumably, the mysterious device will appear first in China alongside the Watch GT 3 and the Watch FIT Mini, two smartwatches that Huawei is yet to release in its home market.
Rumour has it that the blood pressure-capable smartwatch huawei will debut as the Watch D, although it is unclear what the device looks like. Potentially, the Watch D will be able to take ECGs too, although Changan Digital King did not discuss this. Huawei's registration of Watch D with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) implies that the smartwatch will be available outside China, but Huawei has not started teasing any yet.
